Who controls the data

What the website does not use
The site does not deploy Google Analytics or another audience-measurement service; advertising or behavioural-tracking technology; embedded YouTube, LinkedIn or Substack frames; a newsletter form; or non-essential cookies. The site code does not write to local storage or session storage.
Technical server logs
When the site is hosted, the hosting provider may create standard server and security logs. Those logs can include an IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser or device information and diagnostic data. They are used to deliver the site, maintain security, investigate faults and protect against abuse. DigiData’s basis for this processing is its legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website.
Enquiries and attachments
The contact form requests a name, organisation, work email, role, enquiry category, project timescale and message. It also allows one optional supporting file in a limited set of business-document formats. DigiData uses the information to assess and respond to the enquiry, take steps requested before a possible engagement, manage conflicts, protect legal rights and maintain a proportionate communication record.
The hosted form sends an automatic acknowledgement to the supplied email address. The acknowledgement confirms technical receipt only; it does not create a client relationship, duty of care, retainer or agreement to act.
Initial enquiries and attachments are usually retained for up to 24 months. Material that is unnecessary, unsafe or unrelated may be deleted sooner. Where an engagement begins, relevant correspondence may form part of the project record and be retained for longer where required by contract, professional need, insurance, tax, limitation periods or another legal obligation.
Recipients and processors
Personal data may be processed by the website host, email provider and professional service providers supporting secure business operations. It will not be sold. Information is shared with a proposed network expert only where necessary to assess or perform an assignment and subject to appropriate confidentiality arrangements.
International processing
Some service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, DigiData will rely on an applicable adequacy arrangement, contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact DigiData first at enquiries@digidata.uk so the issue can be examined promptly.

The website links to external publishers, institutions, Substack, YouTube and downloadable PDFs. Those services apply their own privacy and accessibility practices after you follow the link. DigiData does not embed those services into its pages.
